Thumbs up for a chance to check out The White Deer and military history at the former Seneca Army Depot in Romulus. After a five-year hiatus, guided tours are being offered aboard mini-buses from 8 am until 4 pm on Thursday through Sunday. Tours begin at the John and Josephine Ingle Welcome Center, 5532 Sate Route 6-A, Romulus. The 90-minute narrated tours feature a chance to see some of the worlds largest herd of rare white deer, may additional species of wildlife, and the heart of the depots storage area, consisting of over 500 earth covered munitions bunkers, 10 miles of roads, remnants of farms that receded the depot, a former Native American village, and a cemetery with the remains of Revolutionary War soldiers. K Ventures will be assisting in the planning and operation of the White Deer Tours.
